Why we use Content Management Systems

An organization wants to work on content in a WYSIWYG way, do approvals workflows on changes outside of a traditional go-live cycle, and in a place that is not actually live.

At least, that’s a relatively short version of what I identify as the root cause of CMS decisions. The strongest argument in favor of CMSs perhaps.
