iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus officially on sale in China starting October 17th

Apple is bringing the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to China on October 17th. The company today confirmed that its newest smartphones will be available through Apple’s website, its own stores, and an “expansive network” of Chinese retailers, and that Chinese customers ordering through Apple’s website will be able to pre-order the new iPhone models from October 10th.

The new iPhones will operate on 4G and LTE networks operated by China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom, and support both TD-LTE and FDD-LTE technology. Speaking about bringing the new models to the huge Chinese market, Apple CEO Tim Cook said his company was “thrilled to bring iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to our customers in China on all three carriers at launch.” A 16GB…
