AT&T will let customers with replacement Galaxy Note 7s swap out their devices

AT&T will allow any of its customers with replacement Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices to swap them out for a different smartphone, the company tells The Verge. The move follows Sprint’s decision to let its customers return replacement Note 7s for a device from a different manufacturer on the heels of a replacement Note 7 catching fire on a plane earlier this week. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has opened an investigation into the fire.
At this rate it’s likely that Verizon and T-Mobile won’t be too far behind in offering to swap out replacement Note 7 devices. With the uncertainty around the safety of the Note 7, offering a full exchange is the easiest way to ease the worries of consumers until the CPSC completes its…
