AT&T Mobility has a new CEO: Glenn Lurie has been promoted to lead the second-largest US carrier. He takes the place of Ralph de la Vega, who served as chief executive since 2007 and is now tasked with overseeing AT&T’s newly formed Mobile and Business Solutions Group. Essentially, de la Vega now sits between Lurie and AT&T’s main boss, Randall Stephenson. As CEO of the mobility unit, Lurie will continue to report to de la Vega.
